Paging Oswald Cobblepot

As you may know, director Christopher Nolan is set to produce the third movie in the rebooted Batman saga, The Dark Knight Rises, next year.   It’ll be released in 2012.

There has been plenty of speculation about casting.  I am not here for that.

I am here to support the utterly improbable, totally quixotic, and oddly appealing quest of a Richmond improviser (and friend) to get a screen test for The Dark Knight Rises.

Zach Arnold is a good guy.  He’s a talented performer.  All he wants is a chance.  And that chance has manifested itself in the fact that the character of Oswald Cobblepot (a/k/a the Penguin) may be used in DKR.

Zach is, to be blunt, shaped kind of like Pengy.  In this case, that’s a good thing.

And the Penguin is a role that has, in the past, been overshadowed by his actor — Burgess Meredith or Danny DeVito, anyone?  So why not cast a young and relatively unknown actor in the role?

Why not Zach?

Facebookers, hit this link and click “Like” to show your support.  We can do this!  I mean… given all the silliness that goes viral these days, why not Zach?  Why not now?  Like the page, and strong-arm all of your friends into doing the same.  It’ll be fun! 🙂
