American Idol 9 Finals: Week 2 Preview/Warning

If you have an unreasonable fear of Disney teen singers, avoid American Idol this week.

Tomorrow night, Miley Cyrus will mentor the 11 finalists.

No, I’m not kidding, this is right off a FOX press release.

Wednesday night, Miley will sing (and thus prove she couldn’t have gotten past the Idol auditions), and so will fellow Disney stars (!) Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato.

I guess we now know what price FOX, 19, and Fremantle had to pay to get American Idol Experience into Disney Hollywood Studios.

Interestingly, the theme is “Billboard #1s”.  What’s interesting is that, given who’s performing/”mentoring”, the theme was changed late last week from “Teen Idols” to “Billboard #1s”.  Why?

One can only hope for someone to leak footage of Miley “mentoring” Crystal Bowersox. 

So which Idol will lose their spot on the summer tour thanks to Miley’s mentoring?  We’ll know soon enough.

Better news: Usher is mentoring Week 3.  I’m terrified to ask what the theme will be… polka, maybe?  ‘60s pop?
