Well, it appears that this year’s Presidential campaign is down to the liberal liars vs. the conservative liars. Both sides are telling whoppers, both sides are making outlandish accusations about the other, and the issues are taking a back seat again.
That said, a vote to put Sarah Palin one heart attack away from the Presidency is utterly insane.
But I’m not here to tell you who to vote for.
I’m here to remind you that here in Virginia, new-voter registration for the 2008 Presidential election closes on October 6. So if you plan to vote for the first time (or after a long absence), get yourself over to the Virginia Board of Elections website and get yourself registered.
Of course, I’m registered. 🙂 And on October 6, I’ll be in Florida and you probably won’t. But that’s just me.
I’ll leave this post with the bright light in the current financial sinkhole… the English soccer team Manchester United has a new uniform sponsor… the United States Government! Well… almost. The US Government bailed out AIG today, and AIG is in the middle of a 4-year deal to plaster its logon on Man U’s uniforms. The Big Lead put it best: So, basically, while one out of eight Michigan residents require food stamps and public elementary school classrooms climb toward 40 students, a further $50 million of taxpayer money, will be donated directly to Manchester United.
