In Gustav’s sights…

If you want to keep an eye on the storm, all four of New Orleans’ major network affiliates are streaming video…

…at least, until they lose power.

But it’s not just New Orleans, and it’s not just Gustav.

Right now, there is a small chance that Hanna may meander up our way in about 7-10 days.  She’s been wandering aimlessly around the Caribbean but it appears she may be picked up by a front and shoved toward Savannah and the Carolinas next weekend…  right now, the National Weather Service thinks Hanna might reach landfall in Savannah on Friday… but this storm has been completely unpredictable so it’s something worth keeping an eye on here in Richmond.  The NWS currently forecasts a 4% chance of tropical storm winds in Richmond on Friday… I’m sure NASCAR is hoping it doesn’t wind up being more than that… 🙂

Also, keep in mind that Gulf of Mexico oil production is now shut down, so crude oil prices should rocket up when trading opens on Tuesday… which means just one thing for gas prices over the next few weeks… *sigh*…
