A thought for a night…

Starbucks likes to use their coffee cups to “collect viewpoints and stimulate discussion”.

According to thisistrue.com, one of those “discussion points” has caused a little irritation… this particular one was written by a Starbucks customer.  It’s interesting… and I’m posting it here because… well… I like the quote.  Click the link for the reaction it got from one Starbucks customer, and reaction to the reaction…

“Why in moments of crisis do we ask God for strength and help? As cognitive beings, why would we ask something that may well be a figment of our imaginations for guidance? Why not search inside ourselves for the power to overcome? After all, we are strong enough to cause most of the catastrophes we need to endure.”

“This is True” is a weekly collection of offbeat news and views.  It’s a thought-provoking read.   Enjoy.
