“Thank God You’re Here” – (edited) show dates

Edited March 1

The improv series “Thank God You’re Here” — the NBC series where guest celebrities will open a door onto a scene in progress, not knowing who their character is or what they’re doing (and will have to improv their way through it) — has its airdates.

It takes the Monday “Heroes” slot for 2 weeks — April 9 and 16 at 9 PM — before moving to Wednesday nights at 8 PM on April 18.

David Alan Grier hosts with Dave Foley as a judge.  Opening night (which may be the pilot shot last November) is supposed to feature Jennifer Coolidge (Stifler’s mom!), Bryan Cranston (“Malcolm in the Middle”), Joel McHale (the snarky host of “The Soup” on E!), and Wayne Knight (hello, Newman).   This could be verrrry interesting indeed… the original Australian version of the series has had two successful short runs in 2006 and is about to launch its third shortly.
