Small slights…

SO overall it was a good day… the day job was quiet but I got some serious attention from the Powers That Be… at least from people who might be of value later… the 7:30 CSz show was hot (and Matthew refereed it Raleigh-style, giving me a little more to do from Voice)… Empire got strange because the audience was dead, but we had fun…

…so, of course, there has to be one little fly in the ointment. Again.

Christine’s still sick — she probably shouldn’t even be in the theatre. She watched the 7:30 show go off, then went home.

She came back at 9:55, went onstage to start the show at 10:00, and left at 10:05.

So where’s the problem, you ask?

(You did ask, right?)

She had to know there’s exactly one person who was in position to cover that announcement if she didn’t make it. It would have gotten done and it would have been just fine. I know. I was that person. We had it all worked out.

You know, it’s funny — she talks about how improv is about trusting your fellow performers, but she doesn’t seem to trust anyone. She sure as hell doesn’t trust me.

Right now, if you asked, I’d say I’m gone after Empire.

We’ll see. I know [redacted] will try to talk me out of it… so I guess I just keep my mouth shut… other than here, and you guys won’t say anything. Right?
