Zooming in on Christmas…

Another one of those random entries that I won’t give background on… but reading the LJ of a 14-year-old who’s part of the Comedy Alley extended family serves as a vivid reminder that (1) artistic people really *feel* life and (2) being a teenager is as “awful” for today’s teens now as it was for my generation 25 years ago… funny thing is, she’ll look back and realize that it’s not all awful.

Other stuff… winding down to the Annual Chicago vacation and I’m more ready for this one than I have been in years… the necessary gifts are all in hand… I’m doing the Christmas cards today… it’s kind of necessary because I’m not travelling until the 23rd (thanks, Anthem, for scheduling rules that make Xmas vacations damn near impossible).

You can tell the year’s almost over when you count “lasts”… last regular Alley night was last night (check!)… last radio show of the year today (check!)… last “night out” tonight (Komic Sutra, check!)…  last 3 days at the day job coming up… and then the whole cycle starts again NEXT Wednesday…

Ah well… onward we go…
